A Long Record of Service to the Akron Community

Since our founding in 1971, Weaver Industries has been serving Akron area individuals with disabilities with the opportunity for vocational training and development to fulfill their personal growth and independence.

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing these internal customers -- those with disabilities -- with the training and support they need to enrich their lives and contribute back to the community. Each one of our staff members has been specially trained to give them the skill sets and care they need to be successful.

Vocational Training

Most people do not realize the skills that many of our individuals possess when they see the products that are produced by these special people. When provided with the right vocational training and enhanced working environment, the results are outstanding!

Working in a partnership with the individual and their family, we are able to maximize each person's potential for growth and development. We carefully evaluate each person's vocational level and interest, then match that to a specific task to enhance their abilities.
