Weaver believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to connect with others, explore new experiences and find joy in life. That's the spirit behind our ENCORE program, a unique initiative designed to take our clients out into the community, where they can engage in a wide range of activities, make new friends and build lasting relationships.
ENCORE is all about exploration. Whether it's attending a movie, visiting the Cleveland Art Museum or even making candles, our clients are given the chance to experience the world in ways they may never have imagined. One of our recent outings was to Cedar Point, where two of our clients fearlessly tackled all the roller coasters. It was a day filled with excitement, laughter and a sense of accomplishment that will stay with them forever.
While ENCORE is undoubtedly about having fun, it's so much more than that. It's about giving people with developmental disabilities the chance to engage in the community and create meaningful relationships. It provides them with something to look forward to, something that brings happiness and a sense of purpose. At Weaver, we're not just guides; we're friends. We're there to share in the joy, to support and encourage, and to help our clients find fulfillment in every experience.
ENCORE is more than just a program; it's a community. It's a place where our clients can feel safe, supported and understood. It's where they can grow, learn and thrive, surrounded by people who care. We’re committed to continuing the growth of this program, expanding our reach and providing even more opportunities for our clients to enjoy life to the fullest.
Weaver is here to guide, to share and to have fun, but most importantly, we're here to build a community. Through ENCORE, we're helping our clients find purpose and joy in life, one amazing experience at a time.
As ENCORE continues to expand, stay tuned for more updates, and be sure to check out the photos from our latest adventure at the RubberDucks game on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Together, we’re making a difference—one friendship, one experience and one smile at a time.

Many capable people are left out of the workforce not due to lack of ability, but lack of access. Employers can change that by rethinking rigid job requirements, making roles more flexible and creating inclusive environments where everyone works side by side. With small shifts and support from community partners, businesses can tap into overlooked talent and build stronger, more equitable teams.
Encore is a summer program by Weaver that empowers adults with disabilities through fun, meaningful experiences that foster independence, confidence, and community connection. From outdoor adventures like zoo visits and picnics to indoor creativity with music, art, and dance, Encore ensures every day brings joy and new opportunities. With strong partnerships in the local community, participants are supported in building friendships, trying new things, and feeling truly included.
