We stated in our earlier email that our intent was to re-open our ProPak locations beginning on Monday, June 8th, 2020. Unfortunately, due to various transportation restrictions coming from the state we are unable to open on the 8th.
We are still working through the restrictions and we anticipate further guidance from the Ohio Department of DD to come out shortly. Based on the anticipated guidance forthcoming we hope to be able to open the following Monday, June 15th.
We apologize for the delay as we are all anxious to get back. I assure you we will continue to advocate at the state level for relief in the restrictions in many areas that will hopefully allow us to get back to work at ProPak.
If you have questions, please feel free to call or email Carol Flunoy at (330) 245-7166 or email to cflunoy@weaverindustries.org.
This blog explains that inclusive community events require intentional planning, from accessible venues and inclusive design to community partnerships and clear communication. By considering diverse needs and continuously gathering feedback, organizers can create welcoming experiences where everyone can participate and feel valued.
Structured workdays help individuals with disabilities build skills, confidence and independence by creating consistency, reducing stress and improving focus. Routine breaks tasks into manageable steps, reinforces essential workplace skills and allows individuals to complete responsibilities with less support over time. This structure supports long-term growth and prepares individuals for greater independence and employment success.
Micro-internships in supported employment offer employers a simple way to create inclusive, short-term work opportunities that help individuals with disabilities build skills and confidence. These structured projects allow businesses to evaluate talent, strengthen their teams and expand opportunity while creating meaningful pathways to long-term success through thoughtful support and clear expectations.
